"As calm and restless as the sea" — this is how I often describe myself poetically. And I find my calm in reading, writing and teaching, and sometimes, I paint too.
I teach English at the Faculty of Arts and Design, South Asian University, New Delhi. Before joining South Asian University I had taught for over a decade at the University of Delhi, where I also received my higher education. I specialize in Comparative Literature and Folklore Studies, with a keen interest in Postcolonial and Cultural Studies.
I find joy in the world of letters, both written and spoken. As a poet, I craft and perform verses in English and Hindi, and recently, I was honored with the Himalayan Literature Festival 2026 Poet Fellowship Award. Beyond poetry, my voice extends into essays and articles published in magazines and newspapers. At present, I am immersed in the exhilarating post-publication journey of my debut fiction, The Room Above the Gutter—a chapter that feels as challenging as it is beautiful.
